Ingredients (Serves 4)
Method


300g lean pork mince
1/2 cup fresh breadcrumbs
1 tbsp fresh parsley and chives, chopped
1 egg

SAUCE
410g canned tomatoes
1 cup water
2 tbs red wine
1/2 cup sliced leek
1 stick celery, sliced
2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
2 tsp paprika
1 tbs fresh oregano
ground black pepper

Preparation time: 20 mins (+ 30 mins chilling time)
Cooking time: 20 mins

 
  1. Combine pork mince, breadcrumbs, herbs and egg and mix well. Roll into small balls. Makes approx. 24. Chill for 30 mins.
  2. To make sauce, combine all ingredients in a saucepan, allow to simmer 15-20 mins.
  3. Add oregano and season.
  4. Pan fry pork balls until cooked through and juices are clear and hot. Serve with sauce.
